R.J. grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, Irvine where he received his BA in Economics. While on his own recovery journey, R.J. found that he had a passion for helping others find stability in their lives. R.J. has worked in the substance use disorder and mental health industry since 2016 where he has experience in program development, residential treatment, interventions, and group facilitation. While working closely with staff and providing personal care to residents, R.J. gets to witness hundreds of residents graduate The Providence House and progress to self-sufficiency. When he is not working, R.J. is a CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast.
